Progress

So far I am enjoying the course that I am on, but it definitely has some moments where I do not want to do any of the work which I was expecting there to  be and there has to be these moments so I can get my work done on time so I just have to deal with it and get on with it. I am doing well with the other targets that I have set myself and it is coming to the end of the first unit so I am fairly proud of this achievement but it is what I meant to be doing anyway, so its not much of an achievement. I have given my work in to the teacher and I am fairly confident that most of my work is passed but I definitely think that I will have to do a re-write on some of it. I hope that I can get all of the re-writes done in the 10 days that we have to complete them but I am just hoping that they are not the big tasks such as the merits  or distinctions but if they are I would have to complete some of it at home. Since I am doing well with these targets, I have decided to give myself a new target that I need to achieve in order to make the future units easier for me.

New Targets

I am going to set myself another target for the future because I am doing well with my other targets and I need to improve on some other little things. One being, that I do not get distracted as easily when I am meant to be getting on with my work because it seems to be slowing down the progress of my work a lot so it means that I have to catch up on my work later on which puts a lot of pressure on me. The main thing to help me with this target is to know when the right time is that I can lay back a bit and not focus on my work so much because I need to have some breaks because that is the way I can learn more and get more work done because I don't get so bored and tired of doing the same thing but most of the time I just have to deal with it and get on with it.

Interview and Progress

Interview with my teacher

Last week I had an interview with my teacher so that he could give me some advise and I think that it went really well because I got all passes for all of my work and I dint get any re-writes. Hopefully I wont get a re-write for another piece of work for the rest of unit-1. I think that I might get a re-write for M.1 because I didn't really understand it so I might of got a lot of information wrong. I did get a target for my future pieces of work which was to add more images to my power point work which I didn't think was true because they would not have been relevant but it wasn't important, but I have added plenty of images to my P.6 work which was the power point on a guide to teach year 7 student how to set up a blog. One mistake that I had made on one of the passes was that I spelled organised the american way and that is all the feed back from my teacher.

Progress on my targets 

My first target was to keep my attendance where it was because at the beginning of the year I was absent a lot. So far I am doing well and since I was warned for my absences, I have not been off from an I.T lesson so far and I haven't been late either which is a good sign. Hopefully my percentage will eventually raise and by the end of the year if I am not off again my attendance will be somewhere around 95%.

My second target was to keep up with the work and for unit-1, this is going very well and I am up to date on my work but for unit-8 which is taught by a different teacher, iIam not up to date bit I can easily catch up but I think that the lessons are going too fast and we are expected to do a distinction a lesson.

Second Target

My second target is to stay up to date until the end of the year because I started the year with a really bad attendance and so I was quite behind on my work. I am now back on track and I want it to keep like that. 

Progress

So for I am doing well on my work and I am now back up to date and I am hopefully going to stay up to date.

Reason for improvement 

If I am not up to date by the end if the year, it will be really hard to catch up and the chances of failure are increased. The chances of getting the job that I want will also decrease.

First Target

My first target for my I.T subject would be to improve my attendance because for the first few weeks of being at college, I didn't actually attend so my attendance has gone down from 100% to 70%. 

Progress 

It has been 4 weeks since I had been told about my attendance, I have not missed a lesson or been late so I think that I am doing well so far. I have no reason to be off anymore so hopefully my attendance percentage will improve.

Reason for improvement

I need to improve my attendance because it will look bad on my CV, if it is bad and will decrease my chances of being able to get the job that I want which is working at a computer store. If the attendance is terrible then the employer will think that I wouldn't attend to work.
